Two men were arrested Tuesday on multiple drug and firearm charges

Michael Hicks, 46, of Grifton and Sean Branham, 35, of Kinston were in a vehicle that was investigated as part of proactive enforcement by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office SCARR (Street Crimes and Ready Response) unit.

During the stop, a search was conducted and detectives found MDMA (Ecstasy) mixed with fentanyl, along with cocaine, marijuana and a concealed firearm. The suspects were arrested and charged with the following:

Hicks:

 

·      Felony possession with intent to sell and/or deliver MDMA

·      Felony possession with intent to sell and/or deliver Schedule I controlled substance

·      Felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance

·      Misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI controlled substance

·      Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Branham:

·      Misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun

·      Misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI controlled substance

·      Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Hicks received a secured bond for his charges while Branham received a no-bond hold due to being out on pretrial release for previous pending charges. Both were booked into the Lenoir County Detention Center.
