Obituary: Alvin Earl Lassiter Jr

Alvin Earl Lassiter Jr., 68, died at home Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Trenton. “Al” was a member and deacon at Lanie's Chapel Christian Church and a 32 degree Mason member of Trenton Zion Masonic Lodge #81. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, “Grampy”, family member, and friend. Al was also known as “Buddy” by some of his family.

Al was the oldest brother of seven children, a graduate of Kinston High School, and graduated from Lenoir Community College with a degree in Heating, Air, and Refrigeration as well as his contractor’s license. He married his sweetheart, Anna, on June 7th, 1981; they had just celebrated their 43rd anniversary. He owned Al’s Service Company and helped many families and businesses in any way he could. He truly loved his wife and children, but especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved to fish, listen to Old Country and Christian radio, and remain current with world events. Al was indeed a friend to all and never met a stranger.
