Roger Allen Barnette, 70, passed away on June 10, 2024. A beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa, and dedicated business owner, Roger was known for his unwavering love for the Lord, his family and his passion for sports.

Roger is preceded in death by his mother Julia Allen Barnette, his father Charles Aycock Barnette and his brother William Daniel Barnette. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Jenkins Barnette, his treasured daughter, Erin Barnette Robinson, Troy David Robinson, Son in Law, his beloved son, William Daniel Barnette. Blane Alexander Robinson, Grandson, Brewer Allen Robinson, Grandson. Roger’s legacy of love, dedication and enthusiasm will remain an inspiration for all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a youth sports program of your choice, honoring Roger’s love for community and sports. A celebration of life will be held on June 22 in Kinston at Lenoir Community College in the Waller Building from 3-6pm.
