Help Wanted: Assistant Information Technology Director

As a member of the Lenoir County Information Technology Department, you can make a difference! The IT Department is seeking candidates for the Assistant Information Technology Director.

Candidates work involves providing strategic leadership in collaboration with the IT Director and Senior Management to develop IT strategies that support organizational objectives. This position provides mentorship to fellow IT professionals by providing guidance, coaching, and professional development. Candidates for employment must have in-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software, as well as proficiency in systems administration, including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting. Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Experience in IT Management Roles with 3-5 years of progressive responsibilities.

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

• Pass a criminal background check.
