Help Wanted: Special Property Analyst

As a member of the Lenoir County Government Tax Department, you can make a difference! The Tax Department is seeking candidates for a Special Property Analyst. Candidates work involves performing technical, and administrative work in the CAMA and Billing software involving real property exemptions and present-use value programs allowed by North Carolina property tax laws. Candidates for employment must be comfortable with performing field visits as needed, verifying and evaluating data that determine eligibility in certain programs, and assisting citizens by phone, e-mail, or in-person with tax inquiries. Employees in this classification must use considerable tact, courtesy, analysis, judgement and initiative.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; four years of clerical, administrative, or office management experience.

• Demonstrates tact and professionalism when responding to a wide range of questions.

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

• Pass a criminal background check.
