A narcotics complaint on Monday sent Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers, deputies from B Shift and the county’s Street Crimes and Rapid Response (SCARR) team to Deep Run — and it resulted in the arrests of four individuals on a myriad of charges.

The sheriff, deputies and the SCARR unit responded to 2483 Quail Lane in Deep Run Monday and encountered several individuals, including two who had outstanding warrants from Lenoir County and Cabarrus County. A search warrant was executed on the premises and fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was seized.

The following individuals were charged with the following crimes:

CHRISTOPHER FARRIS, 32, OF SEVEN SPRINGS: Three outstanding charges from Lenoir County of warrant for arrest, trafficking opium or heroin and failure to report an accident. He received a $501,000 secured bond.

DUSTIN GARRET GRADY, 31, OF DEEP RUN: Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule I controlled substance, a felony charge of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and misdemeanor child abuse. He is under a 48-hour hold until he sees a district court judge.

RACHEL NICOLE SMITH, 31, OF DEEP RUN: Outstanding order for arrest for felony possession of Schedule II and simple possession of marijuana (Cabarrus County). She was also charged in Lenoir County with a felony charge of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and misdemeanor charge of child abuse. She received a $6,000 secured bond.

JOSEPH MICHAEL WHITE, 36, OF KINSTON: Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substance. He received a $5,000 secured bond.

All four were arrested and housed in the Lenoir County Detention Center.
