Greene County intersection to temporarily become all-way stop
Work scheduled for Tuesday
SNOW HILL – An intersection in Greene County is scheduled to transition to a new traffic pattern this week.
Weather permitting tomorrow, the N.C. Department of Transportation will the use of the traffic signal at 4th and Greene streets in Snow Hill, after a traffic analysis determined this location no longer warranted a signal.
Instead, the department will install an all-way stop at this intersection on Tuesday. The traffic signal will remain in a flashing red mode for a period of time to alert drivers of the change.
Drivers should be alert to crews working in the area and the new changes at the intersection.
The Town of Snow Hill approved the change as a temporary measure and will vote whether to make it permanent at a meeting later this year.
