Help Wanted: Several levels within the Social Work classification

As a member of the Department of Social Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for several levels within the Social Work classification. Candidates in this classification have an immense impact on our community. Social workers have the ability to relieve suffering, fight for social justice and improve lives and communities. Employees in this class must have thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, practices, and their application towards complex casework, group work, and community problems. Candidates must have knowledge of the psychosocial, socioeconomic and behavioral problems along with treatment resolutions. We are also looking

for candidates with bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) to join our team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Social Work from

an Accredited School

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License

• Pass a criminal background check

• Must be of Good Moral Character
