Obituary: Stephen Cashwell Hall, Jr.

Stephen Cashwell Hall, Jr., 61, of Kinston, NC was welcomed to his eternal home on Friday, August 16th, 2024. Born on December 11th, 1962, in Greenville, NC, Steve was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend.

He was the beloved husband of Karen Hall, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. Together they raised two sons, Stephen Corbett Hall (Allie) of Garner, NC and Garrison Smith Hall of Washington, DC, who were the pride and joy of his life. An active father, one of Steve’s great joys was joining Corbett and Garrison on their independent Boy Scout journeys achieving their Eagle Scout ranks. As the boys grew older, Steve passionately instilled life lessons like financial literacy, work/life balance, and faith.

Throughout their marriage, Steve and Karen enjoyed years of travel, cruising, and finding the joy in being together. When Steve and Karen weren’t traveling, they spent time together with their fur baby (Bodie).

Steve was a proud graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, where his numerous leadership roles in Phi Kappa Phi shaped his experience. He spent many successful years in pharmaceutical and home healthcare sales. If you knew Steve, you knew his love of the beach and pride in a pristinely manicured yard.

In addition to his wife and sons, Steve is survived by his sister, Stephanie Gail Hall of Cary, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 21st at 2:00pm at Faith Fellowship Church in Kinston, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Steve’s memory to the Faith Fellowship Building Fund.
