Mrs. Jessie Frizzelle Hawkins, age 78, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Hospital in Kinston. A native and lifelong resident of Lenoir County, she was born February 12, 1946, the daughter of Jesse Raymond and Mandy Lee Frizzelle.

For many years she aided in the operation of the former Carolina Tool and Millwright in Kinston. Mrs. Hawkins attended Jackson Heights OFWB Church with her daughter, Lynn, on occasion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynwood Hawkins; brother, Marshall Frizzelle; and sisters, Ida F. Skaggs and Pearlie F. Davenport.

Her surviving family includes her children, Lisa Hill and husband Robert, Lynn Hawkins, and Jamie Hawkins, all of Kinston; grandchildren, Brandon Whitley and wife Monica, Brent Hill, and Brandi Hill; great-grandchildren, Cameron Whitley, Maddie Marrs, Dolton Peay, Blake Wright, and Cecil Andrews; and a sister, Shirley F. Hamm.

Funeral Services will be held graveside 2 PM Friday, August 23rd, at the Rainbow Cemetery in Snow Hill. The family will greet friends and extended relatives immediately following the service and other times at the residence of Mrs. Hawkins.
