Help wanted: Lenoir County Government Health Department - Business Officer

As a member of the Lenoir County Government Health Department, you can make a difference! The Health Department is seeking candidates for a Business Officer. The Business Officer is responsible for the organization and supervision of fiscal and budgetary operations of the Department. An Employee in this class must have thorough knowledge of principles and practices of public and business administration and have the ability to analyze issues relating to state programs and make recommendations for new or revised procedures to division supervisors. The Health Department’s Business Officer manages payroll, state fiscal reports, cost settlement procedures, preparation of the Department’s annual budget, and finance-related policies. The Business Officer works closely with the Director as the agency’s budgetary strategist.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferable with a major in business, public, or hospital administration, and four years administrative experience involving participation in the planning and management of a business or governmental program; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License

• Pass a criminal background check
