Three arrested in La Grange for breaking and entering, larceny

Three Lenoir County residents were arrested last week on multiple breaking and entering and larceny charges after observant deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office provided proactive patrols in La Grange.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, LCSO B-Shift and support service deputies observed a suspicious vehicle parked outside a vacant residence at 4907 Eason Road in La Grange. The deputies determined the vehicle did not belong at the residence and that a felony breaking and entering was in progress.

Deputies arrived on scene and arrested 68-year-old David Hardy, 70-year-old Michael Hardy and 26-year-old Desiree Mooring on several charges. David Hardy and Mooring had outstanding charges and orders for arrest (OFA) from Lenoir County and Greene County.

David Hardy was charged with:

·      Felony breaking and entering

·      Felony larceny after breaking and entering

·      Felony possession of stolen property

·      An OFA for a Greene County traffic violation

He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was processed and placed on a $10,500 secured bond.

Mooring was charged with:

·      Felony breaking and entering

·      Felony larceny after breaking and entering

·      Felony possession of stolen property

·      OFA for possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor simple possession of Scheduled IV controlled substance

She was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where she was processed and placed on a $5,000 secured bond for the OFA. She was issued no bond for the new charges.

Michael Hardy was charged with:

·      Felony breaking and entering

·      Felony larceny after breaking and entering

·      Felony possession of stolen property

He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was processed and placed on a $10,000 secured bond.
