Charles White, LCPS Technology Director, has been named the Southeast Region Technology Director of the Year. This prestigious award, presented through a partnership with NCET, NCTIES, CoSN, and NCDPI, recognizes White’s dedication to advancing technology integration and innovation across the district.

The announcement was made at the Lenoir County Public Schools Board of Education meeting on February 3rd. According to Williams, the award recognizes leaders "who demonstrate excellence in improving digital learning opportunities for students."

White stated that he is honored to be recognized by his colleagues in Eastern North Carolina. He said it is an honor “to showcase the amazing county that we have and the tremendous support that we give not only to our teachers but to all the counties." White will also be recognized at the NC TAI conference for the state.
