LCSO: Homicide investigation underway in La Grange

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in La Grange. The deceased body of Anthony Harris, 51, was discovered at his residence on ND’s Lane in La Grange today. While the cause of death has not been determined, the LCSO is investigating the death as a homicide.

Sheriff Jackie Rogers announces arrest of La Grange murder suspect

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, a Wallace man has been arrested murder of Anthony Harris of La Grange. Allen Drew McMillan Jr., 40, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office. After an intensive investigation, McMillan was taken into custody in Garner around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday and transported to the Lenoir County Jail by LCSO deputies.
