Rickard Barkes, recently retired, was honored with the prestigious Longleaf Pine Award during a North Carolina Global TransPark meeting. 

Bobby Walston, former Director of NCDOT Aviation; Preston Hunter, former Executive Director; and Jeremy Stroud, the current Executive Director of the North Carolina Global TransPark, were on hand to present the award. 

Additionally, Jeremy Stroud presented Rick with an appreciation award for his years of service to the North Carolina Global TransPark. 

Rick served 38 years of dedicated service to North Carolina’s advancement in the aviation field.
