Aliza Matthews of Kinston, North Carolina, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Matthews was initiated at James Madison University.

GCHS National Technical Honor Society Inducts 53
On Friday, March 31, Greene Central High School inducted 53 new members into their chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. The new members had to have the following requirements in order to be inducted: 3.0 GPA, having taken at least 2 CTE courses, and most important teacher recommendation.

Musician Tony Kinsey gave a motivational speech at Neuse Regional Public Libraries on April 1, 2023. Kinsey, who has been performing for over two decades, has a passion for positive music that inspires and motivates people.
