LA GRANGE – Fire crews responded to a fire at E.B. Frink Middle School Friday night. Officials have not released details on the extent of any damage or the cause of the fire.

The fire comes as Lenoir County Public Schools (LCPS) moves forward with the construction of a new E.B. Frink Middle School, a $57 million project expected to open in August 2026. This incident follows previous fires at the school in December 2024, when a former student was arrested and charged in connection with multiple incidents of arson.
