Connor Williams, Bethel Christian, football

Williams played a big role in the Trojans’ 58-30 win over Community Christian on Oct. 12. The junior threw for 260 yards on 7 of 11 passing and three touchdowns as Bethel Christian clinched a playoff berth.

One place he would like to visit: The Ivory Coast

His favorite college team: N.C. State because he grew up watching the team and loves how the Wolfpack play

Alexia Bryant, Ayden-Grifton, volleyball

Bryant helped the Chargers remain undefeated with strong games in the team’s two wins last week. The junior posted 10 kills in an Oct. 9 win over North Lenoir and followed with eight in a victory over West Craven four days later.

Favorite food: Pasta and rice

Favorite musical artist: NBA Youngboy

One place she would like to visit: Europe

Her favorite college team: Kansas because they’re a bit of an underdog team, and she’s a fan of underdogs
