Obituary - Josie “Sister” Sandlin

Josie “Sister” Sandlin, 84, left us too early on Friday, September 28, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

Josie was born March 24, 1934 in Kinston, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Lee Sandlin, her brother Elvin “Sammy” Brigman, and her sister Jean Brigman. She is survived by her son, Johnnie Sandlin, daughter, Deborah Sandlin, grandson Russell Sandlin (Elizabeth), and great grandchildren Madison, Owen and Colleen.

She is also survived by her brother Kenneth “Bud” Brigman, and her very special friend of 21 years, Robert Thomas. Her funeral will be held at her grave site on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Westview Cemetery, at 11:00 am. Please join the family at her residence following the service, for a celebration of her life.
