Obituary - Bobby W. Jones
Bobby W. Jones, 87, of Kinston passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bobby proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, was the recipient of the NC Long Leaf Pine award, and an active member and usher of Jackson Heights Free Will Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, William “Bill” Jones and Elvin “Puddin” Jones and his grandson, Clinton Lee Bland.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Linda Toler Jones; daughter, Sonya Jeanene “Sonnie” Jones; sons, Steve Jones and wife Pam and Curtis Stillwell and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Brian Keith Sutton, James “Mikey” Bland and wife Dana, Cody Scott Griffin and special friend Shannon Sawyer, BJ Jones and wife Amber, Christy Lynn Moore and husband Brian, Kalyn Collins and husband Corey, Ginger Stillwell, Ciarra Simpson and husband Michael, and Laura Howell; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Lena Price; brother, Charles Ray Jones; friends at Hardees; his church family, and beloved pet Gabby.
Funeral service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Justin Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
