Three injured in Thanksgiving shooting at Kinston club

On Thursday, just before 2 a.m., Kinston Police Officers were on foot patrol in the area of the Glass House nightclub on N. McLewean St. and heard five shots from within the establishment.

Officers located 26-year old Kinston resident Ernest McCotter Jr., who suffered from a gunshot wound. McCotter was transported to UNC Lenoir hospital and then to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he is receiving treatment.

KPD made contact with another pair Kinston residents, 26-year-old Krystal Kornegay and 28-year-old Seniecia Hawkins, who were also injured in the shooting. The two were treated and released from UNC Lenoir.
