The following restaurant inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:

Stacie's Grill

7823 U.S. 70, La Grange

Score: 95

Inspection date: 10/30

Observations:

No certified food protection manager present;

Raw sausage stored above pork chops and hot dogs;

Sanitizer in three-compartment sink was not strong enough;

All food  in reach-in cooler was 50-53F - shall be 45F or less; cooler needs to be repaired;

Splash guards needed to be added between hand sink and prep sink and between three-compartment sink and hand-sink;

Employee prepping food without wearing a hat or hair net;

Sanitizer in wiping cloth bucket was soiled and weak;

Gasket on reach-in cooler is tearing - needs to be replaced;

Observations: 

No certified food protection manager present;

Raw chicken stored above ground beef, fish and ready-to-eat food;

Sanitizer bucket needs labeling;

Sanitizer in wiping-cloth bucket was soiled;

Remove stickers from outsides of food containers;

Prep unit not working properly - needs to be repaired;

Shelving and bottom of reach-in freezer needs additional cleaning;

Observations:

Raw sausage stored above stea and fish;

Salsa in walk-in was made 10/15/18 - shall be discarded within seven days;

Flies in kitchen;

Knives stored in crack behind two-compartment sink and dishes drying on prep sink drain board - store dishes in a clean, dry location;

Dish water was dirty - change water as needed;

Grease bin stored on grass - garbage receptacles shall be stored on concrete or asphalt pad;

Observations:

Peas and corn on stove were less than 135F;

Fish and chicken tenders (in ice baths) were above 45F;

Sanitizer in wiping cloth bucket was weak and soiled - change water ever four hours;

Men's restroom door is not self-closing;
