The Kinston High School marching band will hold a concert Thursday at 7 p.m. at the school in order to raise money and awareness of the team.

Admission is $3 with all children 4 years old and younger allowed in for free. Included in the cost will be a hot dog, chips and a drink with all proceeds going to the marching band.

Public relations director Felicia Reed said the band will use the money for uniforms, instruments and competitions throughout the season.

“We want to put a face to the name,” Reed said. “Our sports teams definitely get a lot of love and we’re trying to give Kinston a taste of what the 2018-19 band will look like. Instead of just coming to enjoy the football games, hopefully the fans can enjoy the band too.”

The team’s Facebook can be found at facebook.com/OfficialKinstonHighMarchingBand for more information and additional donations can be sent through the Cash mobile app at $KHSMSOG.
