LCC to host an evening of song, dance and dessert

The Lenoir Community College Foundation is bringing Broadway to your backyard.

The LCC Foundation will host "Broadway Unleashed Act II -- A Wine and Dessert Theatre" on Friday, July 13 at 7 p.m. in the college's Culinary Arts Center. The event will feature Broadway song and dance from performers based out of Eastern North Carolina, including guests from the cast of "Annie," which will take place in September.

Among the performers are Lenoir County Early College student Michael Adams, LCC student Marcus Jones, former Kinston High theatre teacher Clay Raines, Consigned Designs owner Suzanne Gallaher, Lenoir County native Chris Raines and LCC graduate Rebekah Shimer, who is currently attending ECU for musical theatre.

Also performing at "Broadway Unleashed" are Morehead City residents Jordan Amburn, Rachel Amburn, Miranda Husek and Phil Routszong, Frederick Angoco of Havelock, New Bern resident Patrick Bliss, Ciara DiNapoli of Winterville, Greenville resident Jackie Golebiowski, Lincoln Manning of Grifton and New Bern resident Neil Oliver.

Timothy Maddox, dean of Arts and Sciences at LCC will be on keyboards with Aaron Davis and Ethan Dixon playing percussion. New LCC music instructor and "Annie" director Jessica Cruz will be featured as a vocalist for "Broadway Unleashed."

Tickets are $25, which includes two glasses of wine, dessert and entertainment. There are $15 tickets available for those between the ages of 18 through 21 who are accompanied by a parent or guardian, and wine is not included. To reserve a seat visit lenoircc.edu/broadwayunleashed.
