Disaster Recovery Center is OPEN:

  • The Disaster Recover Center at Jones County Civic Center (832 N. Hwy 258, Trenton) is open and FEMA is there. Please go and register, if you can

  • FEMA is going door-to-door, MAKE CERTAIN THEY HAVE ID. Most are wearing FEMA shirts, vests or hats

  • We need to hear from our citizens about their housing needs

Points of Distribution throughout County:

  • Pollocksville – The Filling Station

  • Comfort – Believers Fellowship Church

  • Chinquapin – Chinquapin Chapel Church (Phillips Crossroad)

  • Trenton – at the Shelter

All County offices are reopened

Jones County Courthouse remains CLOSED this week

HERE ARE OUR NEEDS:

  • Volunteers at the Civic Center – please email JonesCountyVolunteer@gmail.com if you are available to volunteer. There will be four shifts (9 a.m.-noon; noon-3 p.m.; 3-6 p.m.; 6-9 p.m.) and please put the time you’d be available to volunteer

  • Mosquito repellent

  • Cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, dust pans, facemasks, sponges, buckets, spray bottles, wipes, etc.)

  • Canned vegetables

  • Dry cereal, cereal bars

  • Paper goods – napkins, plates, cups, forks, knives, spoons

  • Feminine products

  • Adult diapers

  • Quart-sized, gallon-sized Ziploc bags

DO NOT NEED:

  • Water

  • Baby supplies
