People seeking help with resumes, online platforms such as Blackboard and Moodle or online discussion boards may qualify for free assistance from the Lenoir Community College La Grange Center's Get Connected program.

"These are services LCC likes to provide to anyone seeking to improve their technology skills," said LCC La Grange Director Jason Smith. "With Get Connected, we can also guide individuals through the process of setting up an email account and offer instruction related to accessing the online portals at your doctor's office or your child's school. If you'd like to improve your typing skills or receive an Office 365 software tutorial, we've got you covered."

Smith said the LCC La Grange Center was also equipped to offer assistance to anyone wishing to obtain their National Career Readiness Certificate or High School Equivalency Diploma.

"The LCC La Grange Center is offering these services for free to anyone actively seeking work or deemed underemployed," Smith said.

The aforementioned free services have been offered by the LCC La Grange center for many years, but Smith said the Get Connected program was a way to rebrand and refocus the college's efforts.

"Anyone who'd like to sign up may visit us from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday," Smith said. "If we can't help, we will do our best to put you in touch with someone who can."

For more information, call Jason Smith at 252-233-6838 or stop by the LCC La Grange Center at 112 East Railroad Street.
