Schools:
Lenoir County Public Schools
Superintendent Brent Williams regarding Hurricane Dorian:
Lenoir County Public Schools will be closed for students and staff members on Thursday, September 5, and Friday, September 6, because of dangerous weather conditions associated with the approach of Hurricane Dorian.
Lenoir Community College
Closed Thursday, September 5th and Friday, September 6th.
Arendell Parrott Academy
No after school activities on Wednesday. Closed Thursday and Friday.
Greene County Schools
Due to Hurricane Dorian, GCS will be closed for students and staff on September 5 & 6.
Mt. Calvary Christian Academy and Daycare will be closed on Thursday, September 5th and Friday, September 6th due to Hurricane Dorian.
Bethel Christian Academy
BCA will be closed September 5 & 6.
Jones County Public Schools
JCPS will operate on a half day schedule Wednesday, September 4 and dismiss at 11:30. We will also be closed through Friday, September 6. There will be no after school or evening activities during this same period.
Unless otherwise notified by their supervisor, JCPS staff will not work on Thursday, September 5.
On Friday, September 6, JCPS 10-month staff will not work. Unless notified by their supervisor, JCPS 12-month staff will report as conditions permit.
Businesses:
MedSource Pharmacy, both Lenoir County locations:
MedSource Pharmacy will operate during regular business hours tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Hours of Operation for Thursday and Friday, September 5-6 will be determined after careful consideration of current storm path predictions for Hurricane Dorian. Saturday hours will be determined later during the week. Updates will be posted regularly.

Jones County Department of Social Services
Jones County Department of Social Services will close Wednesday, Sept 4 at 3:00 pm.
Town of Maysville
Town of Maysville offices and the License Plate Agency will be closed Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6.
Jones County Offices
Jones County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. This includes our Early Voting days for Thursday and Friday.

Lenoir County Board of Elections
Lenoir County Board of Elections will be closing the One Stop sites today at 5:00 pm at Cooperative Extension Service and 7:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church in Lagrange and Teachers Memorial Gym.
