Bethel Christian falls in season finale

FAYETTEVILLE — Bethel Christian snapped a four-game skid at home Monday, but couldn’t get past Berean Baptist on the road Tuesday, falling 25-12, 25-21, 25-18.

Trojans head coach Bryant Dilda said the team did have plenty of positives to grasp.

“We got off to a slow start and got behind 13-2 (in the first set), but played pretty even with the No. 1 Division 4 team for the rest of the night,” Dilda said. “Berean is a very good defensive team so we did not get a lot of clean kills, but we hustled, kept the ball off the floor pretty well and forced them to make some mistakes.”

BCA (7-8) will take on Wilson Christian Academy on the road in the first round of the NCCSA playoffs Friday. The teams played each other on Sept. 17 with Wilson Christian getting the victory.
