On Oct. 31, the La Grange Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with civic organization Change4LaGrange will present the first Harvest Spot Festival.

“The festival will take place in downtown La Grange and the adjacent La Grange Community Park,” said Tyrone Morgan, representing the La Grange Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber is giving away free hotdogs, there will be a downtown sidewalk candy give away, blow-ups for kids under 10, trunk or treat, along with several games in the park.”

Line dancing will be led by staff from P&D Fitness throughout the evening. The Gotta Dance troop will present performances of Michael Jackson’s Thriller at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“Businesses owners, members of civic organizations and citizens of La Grange will be stationed downtown to provide a safe area for kids to trick or treat,” Morgan said. “If anyone is interested in donating candy for our trick or treaters, please call 252-939-6026.”

The Harvest Spot Festival will commence at 6 p.m. and last until 8 p.m.
