Swim Club Management Group proposal to highlight Monday's City Council meeting

A company is looking to provide a proposal for full service management of the Lions Water Adventure Park at Monday’s Kinston City Council meeting.

The Swim Club Management Group is a company based out of Huntersville with clients in four states: North Carolina, South Carolina Tennessee and Virginia. SCMG was founded in 2002 and there are more than 250 clients with the group. The city took over the Kinston Community Center and water park last year, and SCMG is providing a proposal with hopes to increase productivity, efficiency and profitability.

In a letter from SCMG President and CEO Brian Sheehan, he stated “we believe our bench strength and financial stability provide our clients confidence in our capacity to deliver a high level of service on an ongoing basis. It is our goal to be large enough to undertake the management of the largest of facilities that our clients can imagine, yet small enough to maintain the loyalty, the intimacy and the responsiveness that we all treasure, and that has contributed greatly to our success.”

Monday’s meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
