LCC's April continuing education offerings

Lenoir Community College is offering a variety of short-term training classes in April.

• Are you looking for recertification as a wastewater or collections operator? Collections Grades 3 and 4 class will be held Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Cost is $70.

Wastewater Operator Grades 1 and 2 will begin Friday, April 19 and last four weeks. Class meets Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Cost is $180. 

• The college is offering two defensive driving four-hour classes: Thursday, April 11 from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m.-noon. Cost is $65 for each class. 

• Are you an automotive technician needing recertification in Automotive Safety Inspections (ASI) or On Board Diagnostics (OBD)? OBD will be held Tuesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 18 from 6-10 p.m. ASI will be held Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. Cost is $70 for each class.

• Have you always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle? LCC is offering three classes this month. Each class is held on a two-day weekend class to help students get their motorcycle endorsement from the NCDMV. The first basic rider course will be held Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. Cost is $135. The second basic rider course will be held Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 from  8 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. Cost is $135. A 3-Wheel Basic Rider Course will be held Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Cost of class is $175.

Additional April classes include:

 • Propagation: Multiplying plants in the landscape will be offered April 16 and 18 from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $30.

Certified plant professional short course will be offered April 27, May 4 and May 11, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Cost is $70.

Keyhole gardening will be offered May 7 and 14 from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $30.

NC Fast Phase II — Income Maintenance begins April 16 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $130.

Notary Public will be offered April 9 and 11 from 6-10 p.m. Cost is $70.

Working Smart will be offered April 15-19 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuition is waived if unemployed or underemployed.
