St. Baldrick’s will hold two events in the coming days at East Coast Wings in Kinston for child cancer awareness.

On Saturday, the foundation will host its first Motorcycle Charity Run. Registration is at 11 a.m. with the run starting an hour later. A donation of $15 per rider and $5 for each passenger is requested, with the ride covering a 40-mile route, finishing back at East Coast.

Monday will be the organization’s eighth annual “Brave The Shave,” where more than 100 volunteers will shave their heads to show support of children who lose their hair due to cancer treatments. There will be a silent auction at the event and a live DJ, along with the Greenville Public Safety Pipes and Drums providing a performance.

This year’s “Brave The Shave” is dedicated to Colby Tucker, a North Lenoir student who died in November after fighting Ewing Sarcoma, a cancerous tumor.
