LCC bringing back four summer camps
The Lenoir Community College Summer Experience is back, featuring four summer camps for students between the ages of 9-18. Online registration for camps can be found at www.lenoircc.edu.

CSI Camp
CSI Camp is for students 9-15 years old and will be held June 10-12 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on LCC’s campus; cost is $70 per participant. The camp will provide students a chance to investigate mock crimes utilizing crime lab techniques and procedures.

Engineering in 3D Camp
Engineering in 3D Camp is for students 13-18 years old and will be held June 17-20 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on LCC’s campus. The cost is $50 per participant. Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling and design. While participating in the camp, students will learn the basics of AutoCAD and Fusion360 software, as well as basic engineering design principles. Focus will be placed on excitement of basic CAD design as well as 3D printing.
Students will utilize design principles and take an idea from concept to model to hands-on construction of a product. Students will learn how to use meters, power supply, function generator, and oscilloscopes. They will learn how to do simple robotic programming for boe-bots.

Graphics Camp
Graphics Camp is for students 10-18 years old and will be held June 17-20 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the LCC Graphics Department; cost is $80 per participant. The Graphics Camp will offer a variety of hands-on, creative activities in a fun, interactive, engaging format. Participants will learn about and gain hands-on experience in digital photography, animation, printing technology, packaging and website design.
During the weeklong camp, participants will produce cinemographs (animated photos), trick photography effects, T-shirts, stickers, animations, funny money and more. Health Adventures Camp
Health Adventures Camp is for students 13-14 years old and will be held June 25-27 from 8 a.m.-noon in the LCC Health Sciences Building. The cost is $50 per participant. The camp will expose participants to careers offered by the Health Sciences Division.
Participants will learn about blood pressure and heart sounds with the participants’ own stethoscope as well as how to perform one-man CPR, how to use personal protective equipment and how to properly wash hands. Campers will participate in a field trip to the hospital and a field trip for a nutritional experience using spices.
