Public hearing set for Trenton town budget
TRENTON — The Trenton town budget is all but set.
There is a public hearing slated for tonight, as a proposed 2019-2020 budget will be presented to the mayor and town board. The public hearing, held at the Trenton Town Hall, will be done at the conclusion of the regular town board meeting at 7 p.m., and a budget adoption meeting is set for June 25 at 7 p.m.
“This is a chance for the public to come out and make comments about the budget,” Trenton Town Clerk Glenn Spivey said. “Not much has changed other than the wastewater treatment plan, as we’re changing operations there, but we encourage the citizens to make their voices heard.”
A copy of the proposed budget can be picked up at the Town Hall. For more information, contact Spivey at 252-671-4443.
