Sponsored: Lions Water Adventure to hold Friday Night Fun event

The Lions Water Adventure will have a Friday Night Fun event from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., equipped with several amenities.

Aside from the water park’s regular facilities, there will be an appearance from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., along with a 24-foot climbing wall and a live DJ. The one-time special price of admission is $10 and is accessible to non-members of the Kinston Community Center as well.

Lions Water Adventure’s Director of Operations Erica Copley said the organization wanted to do something innovative to bring additional excitement to the water park and Kinston Community Center.

“Our focus this year is on creating great guest experience for every guest visiting our park,” Copley said. “We are adding fun family events to our schedule to give families an exciting experience that we have not offered in the past. This Friday we are thrilled to bring a rock wall, a turtle ninja and a live DJ and we can’t wait to see the community there!”

As always the three water slides are a hit with guests. The zebra slide provides fun twists and turns with an inner tube. The lion slide features a large drop and a giant plunge into the splash pool. And, a low-splash slide is perfect for smaller children or those with visual or hearing disabilities.

Some of the other amenities of the water park include the Kiddie Lagoon, which is a 5,000-square-foot play area, the 550’ Lazy River, a 25-yard, eight-lane lap pool, lockers, showers and changing areas.
