Lenoir County Sheriff's Office: Arrest for attempted murder

From the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office:

On July 6, 2019, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance call at 1128 North Croom Bland Road, Kinston. The caller reported that a victim had been stabbed at that location and the suspect had fled.

Deputies arrived and found the victim, Timmy Mooring, 28 of Kinston, had been stabbed by Christopher Tyler Walker during a physical altercation. Detectives conducted the investigation and obtained warrants for arrest for Walker.

Walker was arrested in Onslow County for Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, both felony charges. He received a $500,000 secured bond and was confined in the Onslow County Detention Center.
