Sm3 Social Media Summit coming to Kinston
Marie White prefers to stay on top of her game.
Not surprisingly, she does it through social media.
"I travel several times each year to educate myself on the latest and greatest photography methods as well as business and market strategies," said White, owner of Turner White Photography.
"There's also an enormous creative element to this type of marketing where everyone has a different way of applying things."
That's where the Sm3 Social Media Summit comes into play.
On Oct. 5, entrepreneurs, social media managers and marketing professionals can engage in the Sm3 Summit at The Arts Center in Kinston. The day-long affair features social media influencers and thought leaders from across the state who will talk about how to go viral with your videos, how to sell, how to market your brand, creating a social media calendar and more.

Chris Suggs will share the differences between millennials, Generation Y and his generation, Z; and how they all use social media and how one can market to them. He’ll also share insights from his time on Facebook’s campus.
"We're all in sales," says Bill Stovall, former regional vice president of sales for Aerus Electrolux. He's a member of LegalShield's Millionaire Club and is a highly regarded sales trainer throughout the country.
Local faces Mallory Kennedy (Lenoir Community College), Alexa Kay (Down East Wood Ducks) and Seraphim Smith (Pride of Kinston) will conduct a panel discussion, "Lessons from the Locals."
"LCC is excited about being a part of the Sm3 Summit," said Richy Huneycutt, director of marketing, recruiting and communications/assistant to the president at Lenoir Community College.
"Social media has changed the landscape of how we communicate and market our programs and services. This summit will provide valuable information that we as a community can benefit."
The parent company of Neuse News, Magic Mile Media, is the host for this event. Magic Mile Media is a group of social media consultants and live stream professionals based in Kinston.
