Reece Gardner: Manufacturing crisis in DC
No president in history has had to endure the intense scrutiny and hatred that President Trump has endured, leading now to calls for his impeachment. There has been a constant drumbeat, with his enemies "creating" crisis after crisis with lie after lie.
The latest is the claim that in a telephone conversation this past July 25 with Ukranian President Zelensky, President Trump asked for Zelensky's help to smear Joe Biden ahead of next year's election in return for U.S. financial aid to Ukraine.
But as soon as this claim was made, Zelensky denied the claim and asked that the actual transcript of that conversation be made public. A view of the transcript revealed no improper conduct by either President Trump or Zelensky, but that did not stop Trump-hating Congressman Adam Schiff from holding a press conference and reading the transcript. The problem with that was that he "read" statements which were not in the transcript in order to make his case for impeachment. Incredible!
President Trump responded with this release: "Congressman Schiff fraudulently read to Congress, with millions of people watching, a version of my conversation with the President of Ukraine that doesn't exist. He was supposedly reading the exact transcribed version of the call, but he completely changed the wording to make it sound horrible.
“He has therefore lied to Congress and attempted to defraud the American public. He has been doing this type of thing for two years now. This double standard of justice must end, and it must end NOW." In fact that might be on the immediate horizon with a report soon to come from Attorney General William Barr showing that the "Whistleblower" complaint, like the fault-ridden Steele dossier before it, has been nothing more than the Leftist Establishment's plot to depose President Trump. Folks, this is scary.
It appears to be nothing less than a coup to force a duly elected President from office. Trump did request, as he should have, information relative to investigations affecting election tampering, and information regarding the dismissal of a Ukrainian prosecutor, because these are acts which could lead to corruption between countries such as China and others. Some of these shenanigans have already been exposed, such as the threat by then Vice President Biden to withhold a billion dollars from Ukraine unless a certain prosecutor is fired due to the direction of his investigation.
One good result that might come as a result of these constant anti-Trump diatribes is that people wlll be more alert to what is going on and will demand that we return to being a "Government of the people, by the people, and for the people." God bless America.
Now for a little humor: There was this Christian lady who had to do a lot of flying for her company. But flying made her nervous, so she always took her Bible with her to read and help her relax. On one occasion she was seated next to a man who, when he saw her pull out her bible, gave a little chuckle.
After a while he turned to her and asked, "You don't really believe all that stuff in there, do you?" The lady replied, "Of course I do. It's the Bible."
He then said, "Well what about that guy who was swallowed by a whale?" She replied, "Oh, Jonah. Yes I believe that. It's in the Bible." He asked, "Well, how do you suppose he survived all that time inside the whale?" The lady said, "Well, I don't really know. I guess when I get to Heaven I'll ask him."
"What if he isn't in Heaven?” the man asked, to which the lady replied, "Then you can ask him." Have a great day!
