Business Brief: Local law firm donates Thanksgiving meal baskets to families in need
Whitley Law Firm ensures families have a Thanksgiving dinner by donating meal baskets to The Salvation Army.
The Whitley Law Firm helped families enjoy Thanksgiving without the pressure of questioning how they will feed their family. This law firm donated meals to The Salvation Army to provide for families who do not have the means to afford a holiday dinner. The meal baskets included a whole turkey, rolls, pie, and ingredients to make side dishes like sweet potato casserole and stuffing.
"As a local business, we feel that we have a duty to give back and help our neighbors who are going through a challenging time," said the firm on why they donated the meals. "It means so much to our team to play a role in helping families in need have a warm and delicious meal this Thanksgiving."
The Salvation Army works to give back to the community all year long, and especially during the holiday season. Due to COVID-19, there has been an increase in the number of struggling families seeking assistance. Food banks have seen demand increase by more than 35%. That is why the Whitley Law Firm stepped in to promote The Salvation Army’s Holiday Meals Food Drive to help families enjoy a home-cooked meal this Thanksgiving.
We are donating the meals on Monday, November 23.
