Greene Early College Super Senior has his work spotlighted on LCC’s marquee
Three-Dimensional Welding Captured in Two-Dimensional Art
Greene Early College Super Senior, Joshua Mooring, recently had his work spotlighted on LCC’s marquee on main campus on Highway 70.
The artistic piece was completed in Art 121, taught by Leigh Ann Parrish. This course introduces the elements and principles of design as applied to two-dimensional art. Emphasis is placed on the structural elements, the principles of visual organization, and the theories of color mixing and interaction.
Depicting welders, Joshua’s interest in the skill of welding inspired the selection of his subject. Joshua has already completed the Basic Welding Skills Certificate and will complete the Intermediate Welding Skills Certificate in May 2021 along with the Associate in Arts Degree from LCC and his high school diploma.
