Six Parrott Academy students finished their first semester of French IV with a unique creative writing project. Designed by French teacher Sadie Crockett, the assignment asked the high schoolers to compose and illustrate an original children’s story in French for an audience of elementary school French students.

Working both in class and at home, each student developed a small book of 10 to 15 pages.  On  December 9th, the authors read their stories aloud to Parrott elementary classes who have been studying French with Amanda Albritton.

Ms. Crockett noted that her high school students did an impressive job not only composing but also performing their works. “As for the lower school students, they had a lot of fun listening.  It’s important for the younger students to see how far they can go with their French at APA, and how much fun we have while learning.”
