Update to a shooting incident on 2/8/2020 that occurred at 208 E. New Bern Rd., Kinston, NC.
Two victims have been identified in this case who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Randall Andrews, 27 years old of Kinston, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at UNC Lenoir Hospital. The second victim, Karl Shackleford, 26 years old of Kinston, was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC for further treatment. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Kinston Police Department.

ORIGINAL STORY:
According to a press release from the Kinston Police Department, they are currently investigating a homicide and shooting that occurred on 02/08/2020 around 11:16 p.m., at 208 E New Bern Rd. Kinston, NC. Kinston Police Officers were originally dispatched to this location for multiple calls of shots being fired. Officers arrived on scene and found a Black male age 27 of Kinston, NC with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Lenoir County EMS began treating the victim and transported him to UNC Lenoir Hospital. That victim was later pronounced dead at UNC Lenoir Hospital.
Officers were then advised that another subject had been taken to UNC Lenoir Hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. The second victim was a Black male age 26 of Kinston, NC. That victim was also found with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and later transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC for further treatment.
