LCC named among best 50 online community colleges in national ranking

College Consensus ranked Lenoir Community College number 2 on their list of the 50 Best Online Community Colleges.

College Consensus, a college review aggregator, ranked community colleges based on the amount of online degrees available, the college’s web presence, transparency about their offerings and the user-friendliness of the learning platforms.

“We are so excited to be ranked number two among the top 50 best colleges in the country for excellence in online education by College Consensus,” said Lenoir Community College President Dr. Rusty Hunt. “This is a tribute to all the hard work that our faculty, staff and students have done to make this happen, especially in times like these.”

LCC has 54 online degree programs, including associates in arts, associates in science, and associates in general education. 

According to the College Consensus review, “Lenoir Community College is also one of the best community colleges in North Carolina.”

Access to campus resources and flexibility of degree programs also contributed to LCC’s second-place ranking.
