Courthouse and Sheriff's Office resuming normal hours and fingerprints June 1, 2020
Beginning June 1, 2020, the Courthouse and Sheriff's Office will resume normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Additionally, we will resume fingerprinting individuals for concealed weapon permits, jobs or any other reason as needed. YOU SHOULD EXPECT LONG WAITS TO ENTER THE COURTHOUSE AND FOR FINGERPRINTS. Please continue reading the entire statement below.
• The Queen Street Entrance will be closed to the public. All Public must enter from the McLewean Street / Magistrate / Jail side of the Courthouse.
• ONLY 100 PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE COURTHOUSE AT ONE TIME (does not include staff of the courthouse). Once that number reaches 100, you will be required to wait until someone exits. Each Courtroom and public space will also have a limit on the number of people allowed in each courtroom once you enter the courthouse.
• We ask that ONLY persons who must be at the courthouse attempt to enter. Please leave children, friends and/or supporters’ home at this time due to the limited number of people allowed inside at one time.
• Everyone will be required to have their temperature taken when they enter the courthouse using infrared technology. Anyone with a high temperature will be turned away.
• Fingerprints for all reasons will resume on June 1 at the Sheriff’s Office. If you are getting fingerprints, you will be in close proximity to our staff and others. PPE for you and our staff will remain optional. We do not have masks or other PPE for you, so you must bring your own. If you do not feel comfortable with that, please wait to have your fingerprints completed.
• Anyone that has applied for a Concealed Carry Weapon Permit (CCW) during the modified operations for the coronavirus and has not had their fingerprints should return to have their fingerprints completed, but EXPECT A LONG WAIT. Fingerprints will be completed as first come, first serve order. THIS DOES NOT MEAN AND DOES NOT SAY YOU HAVE TO COME ON THE FIRST DAY. Feel free to come when convenient for you.

Court Schedules, questions about your court cases, question about your court date, questions about the issuance of civil papers should be directed to the Administrative Office of the Courts Website, the District Attorney's Office or to the Clerk of Court's Office.
