LCSO makes drug arrests

On June 11, 2020, members with the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and Kinston Police Department served a search warrant at 1405 Centennial Trail Kinston, North Carolina. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing joint investigation between the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and Kinston Police Department Narcotics Units.

Pursuant to a search of the residence detectives located small amounts of heroin, crystal methamphetamine and marijuana, along with numerous drug paraphernalia items, which indicated the distribution of drugs from the residence. Detectives also located and seized two firearms in the residence as well. Detectives arrested four subjects as a result of the investigation on state drug and weapon charge:

David Stocks was charged with Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of firearm by felon, and Possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Stocks was given a $57,500.00 secured bond.

Michael Brake was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Brake received a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Susan Brown was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown received a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Vernon Ashton was charged with Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. ASHTON was given a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Pursuant to all subjects being processed they were placed in the W.E. Billy Smith Detention Facility.
