KPD identifies woman found Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, shortly after 8 a.m., Officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a small wooded area between the 500 block of Beasley Street and E. Blount Street in reference to the discovery of a deceased female. The identity of the deceased has been determined to be Carolyn Ann Suggs, age 49, of Kinston, NC. The Kinston Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are actively investigating.

ORIGINAL STORY: From the Kinston Police Department: On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, shortly after 8am, Officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a small wooded area between the 500 block of Beasley Street and E. Blount Street in reference to the discovery of a deceased female. The identity or age of the female is unknown at this time. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has been assisting with the investigation.
