CEO of Jeff’s General Construction, Jeffery Warren is a mayoral candidate for the City of Kinston. Warren is married to his wife of 29 years, Sharon Warren. Recently, Warren sat down with Pastor Jason McKnight and Neuse News Publisher BJ Murphy for interviews about his campaign.

“Give me a chance, I can do it,” said Warren in an interview with McKnight where he shared that God told him to run.

Warren wants Kinston to have a better curb appeal in order to bring in new business to the city. The priority of his platform is the city’s infrastructure. He wants to lower the tax rate and the cost of utilities.

“I'm a micro-manager,” said Warren. “I know how to save that dollar. I'm the most conservative. I'm not a big spender, but I like to put the money back into the city.”

Warren is affiliated with Kinston Area Recovery Efforts. He’s been the CEO of Jeff’s General Construction for seven years. He has two employees, licensed by the state that work on renovations.

“I want to see a change in this community,” said Warren. “I won’t give up the fight. I won’t give up the race. The race is on.”

Warren graduated from South Lenoir High School and Lenoir Community College. He identifies as an independent politically. He believes his experience and hands-on knowledge will benefit the City of Kinston.

“The biggest strength right now is that we have a lot of churches,” said Warren.

By bringing people together through the local churches, Warren believes that the city of Kinston can thrive with better curb appeal, a stronger police force with better-paid employees, and better housing for renters.

“Let’s build Kinston back,” said Warren. “Elect me, so we can have a good four years.”

Early voting for the 2021 Election has begun and will go through October 30, 2021. Election day is November 2, 2021.
