Happenings of inspiration occur frequently in all our lives, but unfortunately, we are often too busy to notice them. Here are a couple of True-Life examples of inspiration that I hope you will enjoy.

First, Jo Ann Smotry shared the following: "As a Hospice volunteer I have a Nursing Home patient who doesn't respond to anyone. She has Dementia. Most every time I visited I'd find her husband there in her room, talking to her as he held her hand, and he never left without hugging her and telling her he loved her. There wasn't much response, but there was that 'Little Bit" and he reached out for it on every visit.

One day, as he was about to leave, he said "I Love You" to her as he had so many times before, and then he added, "You do know I love you, don't you Honey?" Suddenly there was a loud "YES" in the air. SHE SPOKE! He could hardly compose himself. She had confirmed what we all knew by then - She HEARD him and she LOVED him - and all was right again with his world!"

And next, Margaret Helms told about an obviously kind soul working somewhere in the U.S. Postal Service. Margaret said that her 14-Year-Old dog, Abbey, passed away and that the day after she died her 4-Year-Old daughter, Meredith, was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God, so that when Abbey got to Heaven, God would recognize her.

I told her we could, so she dictated these words: "Dear God, will you please take care of my sweet dog? She died yesterday and is now with you in Heaven. I miss her very much. I am sending a picture of her so that when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I miss her so much. Love, Meredith."

We put the letter and the picture of Abbey in an envelope and addressed it to God in Heaven. We put our return address on it and dropped it in the Letter Box at the Post Office. Margaret continued, "Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, in an unfamiliar hand, 'To Meredith.' Meredith opened it and inside was a book by Mr. Rogers, titled, "When a Pet Dies." Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope.

On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith with this note: "Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in Heaven. I recognized her right away. She isn't sick anymore. She loved being your dog. I am sending the picture back to you in this little book for you to keep and cherish. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you send it to me. What a wonderful Mother you have. I picked her especially for you, and I send my blessings every day because I love you VERY MUCH!"

Folks, it's really all about LOVE! Always has been - ALWAYS WILL BE!

Now for a little humor: A new hunter asked an experienced old hunter how to hunt bears. The old man answered, "It's easy, son. I've hunted hundreds of bears during my lifetime. You just need to grab your gun and take a ride to some nearby mountains. First, find a cave or stone cavern that might shelter a bear. Second, make some 'Woo! Woo'! sound so that the bear inside might think it's his companion. It should also make the same sound back to you. When it comes out, you just pull the trigger. Easy, right?" The new hunter nodded and exited, and didn't come back for months. Finally the old hunter saw the new hunter on the street, and found him crippled, with an ear lost and an eye blind. He asked what had happened, and the new hunter said, "I did what you told me to do, but when something inside the cavern answered my 'Woo!Woo,' I didn't expect

a train would come out and hit me!"
