Spanish Class with some extra “Moves”

Spanish Class with some extra “Moves”

Bryan Williamson, LCC Spanish instructor for Greene Early College, recently added an extra dimension for his Spanish class.  Being a wonderful fall day, Mr. Williamson took his Spanish class outside and taught them Cumbia.  According to Mr. Williamson, Cumbia is rooted in Afro-Latino, but no country can truly claim sole ownership of the dance.  He also noted that different countries have their own version of the dance. The students eagerly participated as they were allowed to experience a foreign language cultural music in a fun way.    A Goldsboro native, Mr. Williamson has had extensive teaching experience on the Community and university level.  Welcome to our GEC family!
