Jones County Community Foundation awards $3,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Jones County Community Foundation recently announced $3,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

The board granted:

 

  • $500.00 to Maysville United Methodist Church for Feed My Sheep program

  • $500.00 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupil Jones County program

  • $1025.00 to Trail of Faith Farms for scholarship funding

  • $975.00 to Tried by Fire Inc. for My Sister’s House: A Transitional Home for Post-Incarcerated Women

Gloria Wiggins, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Jones County Community Foundation.   “We’re proud to make grants to create real change in our community,” she said. “These organizations are meeting critical local needs that we are proud to support, today and everyday.”
